Jesus the Christ, Messiah, eternal Son of God is the only mediator between God and man. He is the Prophet, Priest, King, and heir of all things. The only begotten of the Father, born of a virgin, lived in perfection among men, died on a cross as a substitute for sinners. He rose again from the dead and will return for His bride, His church, His people. Jesus, the Lord God Almighty calls all men everywhere to repent, turn from sin and put their faith in Him. According to the Scriptures. Salvation is in none other than Jesus Christ, by grace, through faith, for the glory of God.
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” John 12.24

The Power of Christian Spiritual Growth

The power of human potential and spiritual growth compared through a compelling story describes an acorn that falls into a grave, with a massive marble slab placed on top. Despite the acorn's small and seemingly insignificant size, it holds immense potential. In contrast, while the marble slab may appear imposing and substantial, it has no capacity for growth. Although it can be carved into something beautiful or meaningful, it does not change or grow. Over hundreds of years, a shoot emerges through the marble, eventually splitting the slab and growing into a mighty oak tree. This story underscores, that there is no true competition between the acorn and the thousand-pound marble slab; the acorn, with its inherent potential, will always triumph. The story is from, “The Everlasting Man” by G.K. Chesterton.

From the Garden of Eden onward, the Bible portrays the physical seed as a powerful element in God’s creation, integral to sustaining, renewing, and upholding all things. It also draws parallels between the physical and spiritual realms. Jesus frequently used seed metaphors to illustrate the Kingdom of God, the Gospel, and the Word of God, depicting concepts like sowing, planting, and growth. The Apostle Paul similarly employs botanical imagery to describe spiritual birth, life, and growth, highlighting the fruits of the Spirit and eternal life. Finally, and most importantly, Jesus is depicted as the seed of the woman who, by His death, defeats the seed of the serpent and brings life by rising from the dead, triumphing over the grave!

A wholistic approach to congregational discipleship.
